  RELIGIOUS ENTITY

8044 – Entity Part 2 – Individual Entity

Man[1] is a free being. Moreover, he is a being whose duty it is to enlarge the boundaries of human experience and knowledge.

Even now that he has cast off physical slavery he is still bound: by the constrictions of the planet, by his lack of knowledge, and by his inability to use more than a minute part of the power of his brain.

All his history has been an unsteady, and often unsuccessful, progress to throw off the constrictions that hold him back; and to expand ever more his horizons.

Bigger is not always better, but the horizon beckons. It is right to conserve that which is best, but ENTITY thrives on change. Shooting the rapids of your time is an exhilarating experience.

The ultimate empire of man is the universe, and what stands beyond. It stretches from the furthest reaches of outer space to the greatest depths of the inner mind. It is the essence of man that he will always strive to push back frontiers, be they the physical dangers of space or the intellectual challenges of knowledge.

The more the frontiers expand the greater is the scope of ENTITY: and the greater its power for all mankind.

The actual task of breaking new ground is given to few people. Yet these few stand on the shoulders of all who have gone before, and all those who stay behind.

Expansion of the frontiers is so great a task that it has to have the consent of all society. No explorer, no matter how brave, discovered a new continent without the support of a myriad of lesser-known mortals.

Even the humblest person contributes to the advance of society. He may not travel to the stars, but he makes it possible by his work, and by his assent.

The world we know is a reassuring place, where the dark beyond may contain threats. Yet we would be as lifeless as if we were all in our grave if we accepted the end of change.

The future is hope.

Even so, in his present state it is as difficult to teach a man to fully use even a part of ENTITY as it is to teach a blind man to see. Yet it is possible to develop a man's ability to sense ENTITY and to use this in his life; and, such is the power of ENTITY, even a small success reaps rich rewards.

Not least, it is difficult to sense the messages that ENTITY conveys. They are subtle and are easily swamped, in the short term, by the other information being received by the physical senses or brought forward from memory. But, in the longer term, given an open mind they will succeed; as drops of water eventually erode a mountain.

To capture ENTITY, and use it, an individual has to recognise its existence. He may, perhaps, have already sensed it in a momentous occasion, or as a member of a large crowd emoting in unison. These transcendental experiences are a mere hint of what is available. To experience its benefits further he needs, above all else, to develop an open mind.

ENTITY is interlaced throughout all he experiences. It is, however, a very subtle influence. What it needs, to make its messages felt, is a blank sheet; undisturbed by preconceptions, dogma or bigotry. This does not mean that ENTITY belongs only to those who would be unquestioning slaves to it. The paradox is that the question becomes part of the same medium as the answer. The question must, therefore, be asked without the intervention of the paraphenalia we create by our own dogma, or by our pitifully restricted view of the universe. ENTITY is in some ways the question itself. To react is to negate life. To interact, and to question the whole meaning of life, is to create life itself.

No man has access to all that is known, and certainly no man could claim to understand all. But all men do have access to ENTITY, and through it to the cosmic consciousness; which may be used to solve all problems. Each man can, therefore, obtain a measure of that insight which is truth. This may be called intuition, inspiration or religious experience; but it is the mainspring of life. To ignore it is to cut out the very soul of man.

Every man transmits to ENTITY. He thus participates in the creation of ENTITY and determines its laws. Every sentient being is a full citizen with the inalienable right to be an equal in everything that ENTITY lays claim to. He is, in this way, part of god and yet god himself.

He also writes the record of his whole life, be it good or bad, on ENTITY.

Immortality is, thus, ours. Man may only conceive of himself as he is at one moment in time, but in ENTITY he becomes a whole being; extended over his total lifespan. Hence, every detail of his life is an integral part of the complete individual, written over his whole contribution to the integrated being. Much as a fly is preserved in amber, forever available to the gaze of man, so is man's life eternally recorded for all of ENTITY to examine. Thus truly is heaven and hell within man himself.

Yet this is no sinecure for the bland. ENTITY can be seen as an art gallery, where the exhibits are the individuals. Few would choose to see a pure white canvas. The paintings that are full of action, colour and contrast evoke the most response. Thus it is with ENTITY. Those lives that are lived to the full, absorbing the richness that is available to them with the risks as well as the rewards, are the jewels.

As in any true artform there are many ways to create a masterpiece. The cool tranquillity of a pure life contrasts with the tortured soul of the innovative genius; and yet both are just as valid. Both may claim to be masterpieces. There is only one requirement; that you have fulfilled your talents. These may be for monumental works which substantially advance the development of man, or simply for enjoyment of the full essence of life itself. If hedonism be defined as the latter then it has as much value as saintliness.

Hence, total man should view his life as a painter approaches his canvas; to control the patterns that are emerging he should simply ask what is necessary to balance the picture he sees.

Finally it cannot be overemphasised that ENTITY is not a neutral medium. Man has the ability to shape ENTITY itself, as the sculptor shapes his block of stone. No man is totally adrift on the raft of life floating down the rapids to final destruction. Every man has the ability to change the direction of his life, to move to a different part of the stream. By superhuman effort it may even be possible to change the course of the stream itself.

Man has a long way to climb before he fulfils a small part of his potential. The wisdom distilled from uncountable millions, and written on ENTITY, is the best guiding light to show him the way out of darkness.

[1] Man is taken here in its biblical sense. It covers woman just as much, and indeed women are even more important to any widespread recognition of ENTITY.
