8300 'Debates' and Blog
Once I had completed my three years of work on the overall website, and the further year writing the book form of my autobiography, I decided to keep my hand in by 'chairing' a discussion - much as I previously had done as part of the Millennium Project. Despite a sound theoretical framework, this never got off the ground, simply because - in order to maintain security - the the software on server it was offered through barred others from adding to it! However, my own contributions might add some ideas to those contained elsewhere on this site. It was organised into a number of main sections, some of which are no longer relevant. Those that are relevant include, my own website work in 2005:
Having abandoned this work, I later - in mid 2006 - started a blog, which was then the flavour of the month and was supposed to instantly bring fame and fortune. What was never explained was that success depended upon some of your friends having massive mailing lists which spread the word. In retirement, I had long since left such mailing lists behind me. In any case, everyone else was too busy promoting their own blogs to spend any time doing so for anyone else! So, once more my voice rang out into a vacuum.
However, the ideas which emerged in my own mind were - I think - interesting. Not least, the blog started in the middle of the 2006 Israel/Lebanon conflict - which was something of a turning point - and as a result the day by day commentary might be especially enlightening.
