I am sure that other people often see me as some sort of extrovert, but in fact I am really an introvert – and rather shy. As a result, I do not promote myself to any great extent. My work in Ethiopia is a good example of this. Very few people knew about this. At first this was because it was literally top secret, but later – when it became more general knowledge – I still did not publicize my part in it.
I was, however, happy to publicize the work I did. Accordingly, I put considerable effort into promoting the results of the Futures Observatory. The following items of material, including press cuttings and letters, indicates how extensive the resulting coverage was.
